I have a question, and I know I cannot find the answer in my thesaurus. I beg anyone who reads this to please please please leave me a comment telling me their answer.
This is someone we know...and I've had the opportunity to get to know better recently. He's a terrific person--he can stand up and speak up when he needs to, but it's usually to help someone else, not to bring attention to himself.
Seeing the original attention whore and this man in the same room this weekend just made it clear that they are polar opposites, and I need a good term for the good twin.
