Reaching the Goal

I set a goal for myself for Christmas eve.

Since agreeing to be in the choir at church, my goal was to not totally suck, even if it's Christmas and even if the people at church are supposed to be forgiving and understanding.

And....






drumroll please....










I didn't suck! Granted, I probably won't ever do this sort of thing again, but I didn't suck. And I didn't cause anyone's eyes to water in pain, I didn't totally screw up and look like a dolt, and I didn't make a total fool of myself (I prefer to keep those moments personal and mostly private)

I got the giggles about 1/2 way home, when I realized that there was a professional opera dude in the congregation.

And I didn't suck!
